Rough week for many

This week has been a little less stressful for me. I read some of the other blogs for this week and it sounds like it was a rough one for many of us. Just think in 3 weeks this term will be over. This term was more stressful for me, and I will be glad to see it end. Next term I will be taking my practicum. I am a little nervous about that too. Hopefully the next three weeks will be better for all of us. I really enjoy reading everyone elses papers. They are all interesting and I am learning a lot from them. Have a great week everyone and see you in seminar. Have a great and safe 4th of July weekend too.

Time for me

Hi Everyone!

I hope everyone had a great weekend. I finally made time for me. I have been so stressed out for the last several weeks with my paper. Now that my first draft is done, I feel a little less stressed. I went flying Saturday and today. I almost feel guilty making time for myself and taking a break from my studies. However, I did do some school work on both days. I enjoy reading about everyone's papers. There are a lot of great topics. Have a great week. See you in seminar.

How is school influencing your life at or up to this point?

Hi Everyone,

I started at Kaplan in April 2009. I decided to go back to school to get a better paying job to support myself since my divorce a little over 1 1/2 years ago. I have not worked in the medical field at all, but I am very interested in it, and have chosen to pursue an associate degree in Health Information Technology. I am a perfectionist, however, I am lacking in self confidence. School is helping me with this, as I am doing very well in my classes. This gives me the confidence to succeed and know that I can do anything if I apply myself. I have learned so much since I started school. I feel my writing has improved and I have learned a lot about myself. One thing I have learned is to manage my time better. Furthermore, my computer skills have improved a lot. I am very motivated in doing the best I can and getting my work done on time. I do not procrastinate. I do get overwhelmed and stressed out at times. School has left me with very little free time, which contributes to my stress. However, I am learning to make time for myself, to help relieve some of my stress. School has had a very positive effect on my life.

Breakfast at the airport

Today, Sunday, I had to work at the airport. I usually do not work on the weekend, but we held a fly-in, drive-in pancake breakfast sponsored by our local EAA chapter. Besides the breakfast we have other activities, such as a car show, a jaws of life demonstration, flight for life, and we offer airplane rides. It was a nice day, and a good turn out.

That's all for now. I hope everyone had a good week.
